Kim Duncan joined LattaHarris in July 2026 as a Senior Manager in the Cedar Rapids office, bringing 28 years of public accounting experience to the firm. A Mount Mercy College graduate and CPA, Kim previously spent over 15 years as an owner and partner of a CPA firm in Cedar Rapids. Growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, she gained early, hands-on experience managing daily operations and bookkeeping. That background, along with her work in the manufacturing, and farming industries, gives her a practical, firsthand understanding of what business owners face every day.

In her role, Kim specializes in serving individuals, small businesses, professional services, and S Corporations. She takes pride in tackling messy books, handling core bookkeeping, and guiding clients through strategic tax planning by clearly explaining how different financial scenarios will affect their personal taxes. Clients value her approachable style, deep knowledge, and commitment to prompt service. Relying on her for everything from simple 1040s and payroll to corporate structure recommendations and exit planning.

Outside of the office, Kim enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, boating, and quilting. You can find her relaxing with a good book, catching a movie, or setting off on an outdoor adventure with her spouse and two dogs.
